PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are investigating the cause of a crash that involved a Philadelphia police cruiser early Thursday morning.
The crash happened in the 1800 block of South Broad Street in South Philadelphia.
According to accident investigators, a civilian car rear-ended a police cruiser.
Authorities say neither the officer nor the driver of the civilian car was injured.
It was not immediately known if alcohol played a role in the crash. Authorities are also investigating whether weather conditions at the time of the crash were a factor.
The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
