Suspects Sought In Armed Robbery Of South Philadelphia Rite Aid

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a pharmacy in South Philadelphia last week.

The incident happened on October 18th at about 9:15 p.m. at the Rite Aid Pharmacy located in the 800 block of South Broad Street.

According to investigators, two suspects entered the store and one of them displayed a black handgun. The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The first suspect is described as a male, 25-30 years of age, 5’4″-5’5″, with a thin build, facial acne, thin beard and a light brown to olive complexion. His race is unknown, but investigators say he may be of Asian, Hispanic or Middle Eastern descent. He was wearing a green baseball cap with the “Polo” rider insignia on front, a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years of age, 5’10″-6’1″ with a goatee and a medium brown complexion. He was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt marked with the outline of a woman’s body on the front and rear and a black baseball cap with a white Phillies “P” insignia.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrests and convictions of the suspects. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Crime Commission Tipline at 215-546-TIPS.
